What have you been doing

If you have not seen the flower
You have not been soaked by the rain that gives it water
If you have not seen the flower
You have not heard the buzzing from the bee that pollinates it
If you have not seen the flower
You have not breathe the air that gives it life
If you have not seen the flower
You have not felt the warmth of the sun the gives it nourishment
If you have not seen the flower
You have not walked the ground the keeps it's delicate roots

Then what have you been doing

Waiting

I sit here at the end of the evening
waiting for tomorrows beginning
the sun has surely set
the moon is already glowing, shinning the night
the stars dance just beyond our natural sight
in the brief moment of time between today and tomorrow
I hope there is the opportunity for me to sit still
breathe and enjoy the transition

weep openly
let your emotions come and get you
let the tears swell up in your eyes

weep openly
let your hands shake
let your lip quiver

weep openly
let the tears roll down your face
let the tears fall to your feet

weep openly
let them hear you cry
let them hear you call out his name

weep openly
barely catch your breath
let them see your calm

weep openly
let them see your smile
let your happiness take over

weep openly
let your eyes be free
let your heart be open

weep openly
clap your hands in rhythm
stomp your feet in rhythm

let them see you dance
let your body move

let them hear you sing
let them hear you shout
