This new morning
Sun shine to fill the morning sky
This new morning
has come it's a beautiful feeling
This new morning
My eyes see all the glory fresh and new
This new morning has come
Brings my first new breath of new beginnings
This new morning brings new song
from wind and leaves and birds
I kiss this new day with passion.
This day I reach the summit of myself
I kiss this new day with hope
This is the day I succeed
I kiss this day with forgiveness
This is the day to spread love
This is what the new morning brings

Female Orchids
Female orchids blossoming in the shadows of the sun
bittersweet their secrets hidden in tall grass
uncut
unkept and unwatered
only the crosswinds carry their sweet scents
their seeds
their dreams and their wishes deep into the folds and creases way down deep between the blades of grass
underneath the dying grass
underneath the dead grass
pitted in the soil
where tomorrow's orchids wait
where next week orchids wait
where the next month orchids wait where next years orchids wait
where next season wait to blossom

Still Burning
she fell out of the sky a burning fire
she fell into his hands a burning fire
he unexpectedly looked into her eyes
she was totally surprise caught off guard
awkwardly she glanced back
neither one of them could breathe
their next breath startled them back to realizing they still gazed into each other eyes
suddenly they both looked away
and back again locked eyes again
no turning away no turning back
they held hands awkwardly
they sat together awkwardly
they talked awkwardly
none of this was expected
all of this was a surprise
everything was burning
