About Me

ikiru1980: I am Jeff R. Ghee, I have been studying Shotokan Karate Do since 1980 In Columbus, OH under Sensei Allen Phillips. In 1985 I earned my 1st degree black belt under sensei Phillips. In 1988 I earned my 2nd degree black belt in Sasebo Japan as a member of the Robukan dojo. I have been teaching karate since 1986. I started my karate organization South Texas Shotokan Karate Do in 1992 which became Ikiru Shotokan Karate Do in 1997. I have earned the rank of 7th degree black belt in Shotokan as a member of Dia Ichi Shotokan Karate Do, Houston, TX, under Hanshi Ricardo Johns Sr. I also earned the rank of 6th degree black belt in Goju Ryu Karate as a member of The Society of Harmonious Fists Martial Arts Federation San Antonio, TX under Hanshi Balfour Wright. I have been writing poetry since 1992, I have been a vegetarian since 1992. I am a Christian. I want to help improve the human condition.
