Early Evening Sky

The  early evening sky

Steals the fading daylight

casting the moon light on the lake

reflection we see ourselves

Mother

The sun looks to you for inspiration

The sun shines brightest when it shines down on you

The birds sing your name from the tree tops

The blowing leaves applaud your heavenly concert

Clouds learn to float in the sky imitating your grace, love and affection

The tides of the oceans rise and fall seeking your attention

Thunder calls out your name, lighting flashes when you smile

Butterflies free themselves from their cocoons

Take their first flight in honor of your name

Flowers bloom in appreciation of your never ending

giving and doing for everyone around you

Cold snowflakes fall to kiss your cheeks

Warm wind blows to hug you tight

We are in comfort when in your presence

We are your children you are our mother
You mean the world to us

May God always keep you

How can the worst of me live so close to me

How can the worst of me live so close to me

There should be distance that Separates the dark clouds that gathering around my feet causing me to walk in a fog stumbling past the good things that will inspire onlookers to join me in a march

How can the worst of me live so close to me

The brick tied to my heart tied to regressions tied to second thoughts tied to I should not tied to I'm at it again tied to I have to stop this tied to now I've pulled them in tied to I feel the heat of hells door on the palms of my hands

How can the worst of me love so close to me

Demons perched on my shoulders like my personal gargoyles aged and weathered but determined to stay until the end only to fly away once I'm flat on the ground not breathing not moving not thinking not crying not looking for help not asking for favors not praying not hoping just laying

How can the worst of me be so close to me
