walking beneath the trees at night branches hanging low draped and full of slumber
flower heads hanging low
swing slowly in the wind
no one is looking the grass beneath the trees
prefer to lay down on its side
resting
the wind is still
the leaves are not blowing
everything seems to be asleep
walk away quietly
let them sleep

Beautiful Flight
A bird in flight is beautiful
Not because the bird is trying to be beautiful
A bird just knows to fly

Waiting for a Superhero
I was waiting for a superhero living in the shadows ducking behind trees peaking around corners
one day I saw my reflection in a broken mirror in an abandoned house I thought I was abandoned I see the real me
one day I saw my reflection in a puddle of water after a thunderstorm my face is all wet I see the real me
I realized I don't need my eyes to see what is not there I can see what is not coming
I realize I am my superhero in disguise
