Put that down
Put down that distraction
Put down "I always waned to"
Put down "I should have joined in"
Put down I should have joined in on that protest
Put down that "I should have helped"
Pick up your conations
Pick up your morality
Pick up a stick
Pick up a weapon
Any weapon
Pick up your passion
Pick up a weapon in defense of your beliefs
Pick up a weapon in their defense
Look around find your brothers
Your sisters
Mothers and fathers
Your friends
Your neighbors
And strangers
Find others who share your passion
Share your common ground
Tell your story to the world
Tell it to anyone who will listen
Tell them why you’re marching
Take them with you
You all join in
Gather at the meeting place
Gather with the rest of them
Start marching
Chanting
Start marching towards
The Injustice
The lies
The greed
Be seen
Be heard
Get mad
Sing your songs
Hold hands
Share the passion
Stand in the face of your opposition
Don't back down
Shout them down
Stick to your plan
Keep your faith
Don't loose your nerve
Be brave
Be strong
Be ready for the fight
Be ready for the challenge
Push back
Push back harder
Compromising is not an option
They must be stopped
This can not continue
They have been wrong for a long time
We must stand and be heard
We must right the wrongs
Set things right
This can not continue
To many have suffered for the
Benefit of others
No more
It stops now
Give them dignity back
That's all they have left

Good Morning Sunrise
Good morning sunrise
I've been waiting for you
Mr. Moonlight I will see you tonight
All flowers time blossom again
The green grass and brown weeds
still wet with dew

Rainy Days
one overcast day
I was driving along the city streets
just as I had anticipated
it stated to rain
first came small rain drops
sprinkling the ground
then larger rain drops
followed at a faster pace
no time or space
in between
the raindrops
now an all out downpour
people on the streets
darted here and there
under this and under that
everyone hiding from the rain
those of us driving
quickly rolled up our windows
keeping the rain at bay
people in buildings
stayed put
realizing not even an umbrella
would be sufficient
to keep them remotely dry
i thought
how strange and peculiar
for us to hide from this rain
such a beautiful display
the earth cleansing itself
of hatred, bitterness and turmoil
that plagues it spirit and soul.
we all need to stop running away from ourselves
and come out of our hiding places
stand in the rain
be washed cleaned
i mean . . . lets face it . . .
if we were not here
how much suffering would there be
