The Moon is Outrageous

The moon is outrageous
Hanging in the midnight
Glowing as it does
By way of sun light
Reflecting Across the surface
Of lakes rivers and streams
The poetic hymns of
Rhythmic gestures
Written in codes
Keeping in time with the
Menstrual cycles
Of tides rising and falling
All the fish still in schools
Instinctively call out
To the outrageous moon
To guide them
To the city of Atlantis
By way of
Celestial maps
Drawn by
Greek gods and goddesses
Protected by
Gargoyles and angels
These fish
Basking in the glory
Of their own existence
Discuss why their ancestors
Walked away from the sea
To be among the human race
