The shore birds
Cry out to you
Calling you
Swooping swirling
Flying high
Waiting for you to look high
Look up in awh

Sitting up high on the highest branch
Looking down on you
Unpack your easel
Wet your brush
High quality paper
Water colors only please
Now paint me with
Broad strokes and small details
I have been waiting on you

Swoop low
Swoop high
Glide across warm air currents
Bring up your camera
From around your neck
Focus in fast
take a picture
Take two and then take another
I have Been waiting on you

Diving fast
Skim the water
Diving slow
Rest at the waters edge
Standing proud
Looking indifferent
Take out your pin and pad
Write a poem
This poem
Right now
These words
